But there may be other factors that you have some control over that can help you stop or at least slow down your hair loss. The best way is to try to find out what might be causing it. Do you have a very oily scalp? Are you on hormone therapy? Are you taking new medications?

There are different things that can contribute to it. When you know the causes of hair loss, you can try to avoid certain conditions that may make it worse in you. You can also catch your thinning hair or hair loss problems early on. This will prevent more hair loss and increase your chances of being able to re-grow hair that has been lost.
